I am a translational scientist, innovator and educator.
I have been a faculty member in the Department of Immunology at the University of Toronto for over 20 years where I have had the privilege of teaching a remarkable group of undergraduate and graduate students. One skill that I teach is Scientific Communication. I have chaired our Student seminar series for many years and I have gained much insight into what works, what doesn’t and how anyone can improve their scientific communication skills.
The purpose of this website is two-fold. Through it, I will share some of those insights that I have absorbed through well over 1,000 feedback sessions with speakers. Second, this website will act as a portal through which I will offer my services to those outside my academic unit to provide feedback on Communication challenges with the goals of improving structure, content, delivery and impact.
Please click on the Services Tab to find out more about how I can assist you with your Scientific Communication. And please subscribe to get notifications when new Posts are added.
I very much hope that this site will be a place where passion for science is harnessed to tell great stories that educate, inspire and delight.
